How Apex Legends ranked works in 2026 — all six tiers up to Apex Predator, the RP entry-cost system, and how to climb.
Apex ranked has six tiers — Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Apex Predator at the top. Every tier except Apex Predator has four divisions (IV lowest → I highest). You move up by earning Ranked Points (RP).
Each match costs RP to enter, and the cost rises as you climb. You earn RP back for placement and for kills and assists (not heals or revives), and higher placements make each kill worth more. The RP needed to advance grows with rank — Diamond needs 1,000 RP to move up a division.
Play for placement first
A top-half finish usually beats a couple of early kills.
Drop and rotate with your squad
Third-parties punish solo fights.
Take fights you can win
Kills are worth more when you're already placing well.
Main a legend you know
Consistency matters more than the current 'best' pick.
